Flocking In
The moment that Jaime's small flock of ten sheep: one ram, five ewes, and four lambs, entered our Land, thankfully without an accompanying fierce dog. Wish we could just allow all the beauty to grow, but Mike is wary of bush fires, so sheep it is. And it's a favour to Jaime, who has no land of his own.
Getting this photo, I failed in my task, which was to stop them going up by the trees we've planted - but no harm done, soon got them to go where they were meant to. And then some fun time with Jaime's family, including cheeky Leonor, who wanted to live in our caravan when I showed her all the mod cons inside.
Off to church in a bit, so we can have a more relaxed day tomorrow. Hoping not to turn on computer after we get back, and read our books instead. After we've partaken of Mike's fresh bread, and fresh cheese from the market.
Oh, and last night after I'd blipped, we watched an absolute must watch film, recommended by earthdreamer, Kiss the Ground. It's on Netflix, but we paid $1, and watched it on Vimeo. Please do take the time, it gives hope we can still save our Earth...
Gratefuls:
- the privilege of a bit of land where we can capture some CO2 and put it where it can do good
- continuing cool weather, and the hope of more rain
- the smell of Mike's bread
