Arundel Tulip Festival

Today was the perfect final day out with the 'Gals' - Louise, Rose, Marianna and Amanda.  We'd booked tickets for Arundel tulip festival and we couldn't have asked for better weather, there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  I picked Louise up in Bertie Bus and we travelled with masks on and windows open, with Louise sat in the back, and the others went on the train so we met them there.

It was a really lovely day, and surprisingly not very busy - I actually like that we have to pre-book tickets for things as it makes it more pleasant when you're there.  We took a picnic with us and found a nice shady area with three benches to have our lunch.  There was such a variety of colours and different types of tulips, but these are perfect for St Georges Day, and I've added an extra of the main display.

When it came to saying farewell, I have to say I got a bit emotional, and when I got home, I had rather teery eyes, Alan asked if it was hayfever.  I'm very excited for our move but we've made a nice life here and have some lovely friends that I'll miss, and I guess that hit me today - it's been a long run of farewells because we can't have one 'leaving party', at least that way it's all in one go, but I am thankful that the restrictions have been lifted in time for me to see everyone, it would have been awful if I couldn't.

Alan had an email today about the Pod that we have on order, it was originally due at the end of March, but due to delays we'd been told that the build date had been pushed back to the end of April.  So Alan had emailed for an update and unfortunately it's not looking good - they have 6 orders part built just sat in the warehouse because they can't get the parts and he's offered us our deposit back.  This is really disappointing as we're not having a holiday this year, and were planning some long weekends away in it.  He can't give us an anticipated date, but we'll bear with it for now, and will ask him how far down the queue we are behind the 6 that are part built.  We may re-think if it gets to the autumn.

Anyway, tonight was our final date night in the Palace, so we opened a bottle of fizz - we'll miss the Palace too, but Alan said he's going to build a bigger and better one :-)

I'm struggling to keep up with Blip at the moment, as you can imagine it's all a bit of a whirlwind, and now we're only days from the move, but I hope you're all well, and hope to catch up with you soon!
