Tiagito!

The day began with Tiago! My friend dropped him here to see how he goes spending time somewhere that's not his home with someone who's not his mom! It went well - we went walking, played, snacked, sang... He only started getting a bit tearful 15 mins before Elena arrived, so that was pretty good going.
We took the kids for a quick picnic post school and then headed to the Sant Jordi book market on the boulevard by our flat. Tradition here says that on this day you give a rose to someone you love (not necessarily romantic) and also a book. The rose tradition dates back to the 15th century! But the book one only to 1923 when Spain declared this date to be the death date of the writer Miguel de Cervantes. Lovely traditions! Both kids chose a great book each.
We headed from there to the bay of San An to view a flat for our friend Susanna who will be living here this summer (coming from Switzerland). The place was great and it's dealing directly with the owner which is a huge bonus as it saves you thousands in agency fees!
We went to the park and then back to say bye to James as he and Rich go back to the UK for a few months tomorrow...and I had to return his camera.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) A successful morning with the beautiful Tiago.
2) Bumping into Nate's midwife, Luci, outside Aldi.
3) Living in a country full of lovely traditions.
