Panel 38 - Border Reivers - Gilnockie Tower

Here's our second Reiver tower, stitched by Margaret Skea. This is particularly relevant as Margaret has recently become a published author with her book, "Turn of the Tide", a historical novel set in 16th century lowland Scotland, about a family who live in a tower just like this. We believe this tower is based on Gilnockie Tower, which you can see just south of Langholm on the A7. It's the home of the Clan Armstrong. The panel is going now to Margaret Shaw who will be seeding the reiver's sleeve which surrounds the tower.
