Leaving gift

It was my last day as a locum in the emergency department today and it started off quite badly as I had accidentally turned the sound off on my alarm clock, normal getting up time 05.10, today 05.38, and still made it for the bus at 06.03! Much scantier wash and no cream on the face! First delight when I got to work was that Lisa was just leaving and she plaited my hair in one plait before she left, lockdown hair still!

Then I was given a gift of hand cream, three small tubes, and a bunch of flowers and some chocolates, Roses. They were opened in work and shared! Then another gift of flowers and chocolates from the minors nursing staff and a box of shortbread. Best of all there were lots of hugs which happen so rarely at the moment!

Then later on when it was time to go home another bouquet arrived from some of the other receptionists! All so unexpected and very touching. Extras! The plait, the other two bouquets of flowers! So very blessed to have been able to have spent time with old friends and meet new ones.
