It’s the perfect time to be walking some of these moorland paths as the unusually dry weather means that , for the moment, ,the mud has vanished .

I had a pleasant walk with my friend , Janice , around a local reservoir . We met , three years ago , on a hospital ward where we were awaiting surgery to realign our broken wrists . We two plus another victim of “the beast from the east, “ became friends and have met up regularly ever since , although Covid has got in the way . The third member of our “broken wrist group , “ is currently marooned in Dubai after going there to help her daughter who was having her second baby . The first flights back are on May 17 th .I’m sure she will b3 having a happy time with the family but there’s nothing like sleeping in your own bed .
The fire pit and garden are ready for our first visitors for a very long time. The wine is breathing and the crispy snacks are ready to be opened .
It was announced today that Blackburn has several cases of the Indian variant of the virus . I think we will be shopping online again .it just goes on and on .
Hope you are all cheerful and that your evening is a pleasant one . Xx
