SO LONG, MARIANNE
After my haircut I headed down to one of the beaches to let the wind wreak havoc with the style that Lynne, my hairdresser, has given me. She gives me a great cut, but then sprays, straightens, pulls and generally tries to defy nature. I like seeing what can be done given the time, skill and patience, although my own routine consists of washing and forgetting, but as soon as my hair encounters any humidity whatever it's all back to waves and frizz. Anyway, there's much less of it, so I'm happy with that.
There were Reed Buntings about on my way back to the car, and one posed on a nearby fence post for me (extra).
Leonard.
