Sally Mair - Loving life

Magnolia

Our magnolia is almost at its best now and hasn't suffered too much this year from wind and weather.
Sunday today and an almost at capacity congregation this morning. The maximum number able to be in church depends on how many come as singles and how many in couples or families.
I picked up a little paper heart by the church door, it must be left over from the wedding last week, it made me smile.
There was a big fire on Corstorphine Hill last night apparently, I haven't been able to find out how bad it was, has anybody heard? A bad time of year for gorse fires when the weather has been so dry. Hopefully nobody was hurt, but it's a sad time as well as there will have been lots of nesting birds and young animals in the area.

We have a friend coming for coffee in the garden tomorrow. The first time anybody has been here, apart from the girls, for a very long time.

Keep safe everybody. The positivity rates for covid are going right down, a combination of following the rules and the vaccine having an effect.
