Today's the day ......................... to be a mermaid

A lovely relaxed day with the family - just taking things easy and doing whatever took the fancy.

What is it about blowing bubbles (see extra) that never fails to thrill children and adults alike?  A leisurely lunch - and then a walk along the coast of Kirkcudbright Bay to a little pebbly beach - and all the while, the sun shone and the sky was blue.  Brodie, the springer spaniel could swim in the sparkling water to fetch his ball, Rob could skim flat stones - and Josie could be a little mermaid, sitting on a rock and completely lost in her own little world.

Then, back to the house for homemade pizzas before the gang had to depart for home ....................
