Flower Friday

Another little wander round the village. I made a pain d'épice from my new sourdough book ... I'm not blipping that because sadly although it tastes OK it looks terrible: beige and stodgy. Maybe there's an error in the ingredients.

I finally slogged my way to the end of The Fountain Overflows, so now I can start this month's surprise book, which arrived a couple of days ago. It's called The Lost Pianos of Siberia, and it looks fascinating and right up my street. Another one I hadn't heard of.
