Dressing For The Beach (Spring Style), Margate

We decided we couldn't get enough of the seaside, so today thought we'd visit Whitstable. Unfortunately, the route we chose to get there was actually the way to Margate so we ended up there instead! The weather was good but it was a bit on the chilly side so we did need to keep moving to keep warm. We still fitted a walk along the beach (where I took the main shot), a drink at a tiny pub (The Harbour Arms) on the breakwater (sitting outside, of course!) and an enormous portion of chips each overlooking the sea.
The first extra is called "Turner Contemporary, Concrete & Tower" - as with all other galleries and museums it was closed but it is such a striking building that it always makes for a good image. The other three images hopefully give a flavour of why I love the British seaside - I love the fact that it can be gaudy, kitsch, wonderfully colourful and always puts a big grin on my face!
The only problem from the trip is trying to get the sand out of my shoes. I think it's all gone and then I feel yet another soft lump under my foot so take my shoe off and tap out yet more sand. I've done this five times already but it still keeps appearing!
