Carrier

A friend dropped something off today and while chatting with us, looked out the windows behind me and spotted a navy carrier ship. (He's merchant marine so I'll take his word on the ship's classification.) With all the ocean-going traffic we see, navy ships are fairly rare. Mostly we see container ships and oil tankers and the occasional cruise ship. It's opportunities like this that have me desiring an even better telephoto lens. Let's see, it's less than 6 months until my birthday...perhaps I should start dropping hints to Mr. Odd Days...
