Fleece-drying posts

A walk around to Wardle village followed by a circuit of the hills around Watergrove.  There Martin showed me this line of stone posts.  They have notches at the top on both sides in which, many years ago, farmers would have laid pieces of wood. The resulting racks would have been used to dry sheeps' fleeces just after shearing.
