Work day today

Work day today, so not much to photograph. Feeling a little stressed at work as my workload is starting to ramp up again.

Last night the trail cam showed one of the visiting hedgehogs has a missing front leg. It's not a good situation for a hedgehog to be missing any legs, and especially a front leg, as they need to be able to scratch around in the soil for food. I spoke to my friend who runs the local hedgehog rescue. She said to try and catch it and take it to her to look over it. She said she will check its parasite levels as that is a good indicator of how well a hog is coping and how stressed it is. She had a migrane tonight so asked me to not bring it until tomorrow though. It's probably a strimmer injury. I wish more people would carefully check an area before strimming.

Meanwhile I am also looking after some newly arrived caterpillars. Although they dont need much looking after! They live in these tubs (see extras) until they turn into chrysalis and then they have to be carefully moved into a butterfly home. The idea is the girls watch them go through their life cycle and turn into butterflies which you then release into the garden. I think I am more excited than they are!
