Queuing 2m apart
A morning of cleaning followed by a afternoon running errands.
I collected and dropped off Mum and Dad"s pescription. I then collected a neighbours pescription and her mums from another chemists. Both short queues and not a long wait.
Then I joined the line for Waitrose to get some shopping for me and the neighbour. It was about 10 people deep and moved quickly. Spent too much money as always in Waitrose) but enjoyed choosing some things I hadn't tried before.
One of those was a Linda Macartney 'beef' joint. We had a roast tonight but this 'beef' wasn't great, a strange texture so wont be trying that again.
However in more exciting news I finally convinced I to try roast potato and she realised she does like it! Horray! She tried and liked rice yesterday and now potato today! I feel like we have made some kind of breakthrough her fussy stage. Oh I hope so!
Had a call from Hart Voluntary Action today with my first official case. I called the retired lady and we talked for an hour (well her mostly!) She has the help of her daughter but the notes say that her daughter may not be able to fully support her. I dropped my number through her door afterwards with my phone number and said her daughter could call me too if needed. She did and said she can manage. I'm a bit confused how she came to the attention of the volunteer group and got passed to me as the daughter was unsure too. I hope they didnt feel it was an intrusion. I will feed back the comments anyway.
