Sunrise over Southend-on-Sea

Another unhelpfully early waking for me, before 4am, although I did fall asleep just after 9pm last night. Typically, this coincides with me going through one of my recurring “I’m bored senseless of sunrise photos” phases. That said, I did decide to get up and out to Canvey this morning to watch the sun rise over Southend from the very east tip of the island as this was something I’d never done before and I had time aplenty! I really should have remembered my wellies as trudging over the marshes with just my trainers wasn’t the best of ideas, but it was all worth it for the wonderful peace and solitude… just me and the sea birds for an hour or 2 :)
