Mt Herbert
Super tramp up Mt Herbert, highest point on Banks Peninsula at 919 metres, on a beautiful blue sky day. Certainly took some energy up steep slopes from Kaituna Valley. There was no breeze to cool us.
But we were rewarded with superb views over Lyttelton Harbour, Port Hills and the tips of the foothills of the Southern Alps in the hazy distance.
Plus, spot the paraglider!
