Bunya pine

Arucaria bidwillii

On March 29th I posted a photo of the giant pine cone for this tree, and misswinterfinch said - "Can you get a picture of a tree?" Here it is today.

Araucaria bidwillii, commonly known as the bunya pine and sometimes referred to as the false monkey puzzle tree, is a huge evergreen coniferous tree. We have them growing in the gardens of Old Government House.
