Wood of Cree

Another house moving visit to Jane with some more large boxes. We managed to squeeze Pepper in too, and stopped off for some fresh air at the Wood of Cree, near Newton Stewart. This is an RSPB reserve, of old oak woodlands. Rob actually applied to be it’s first warden, nearly 40 years ago! So it’s good to finally see it. There are some very ancient trees, and also areas of new planting for the future. Decent network of walks too.
Jane’s furniture etc arrived today and she now has a mound of cartons to work through see extra. On the plus side, there is furniture and beds!!
