There is some marshy ground next to part of the Cooriedog walk and I have always been surprised that there aren't more birds to take advantage of the wet conditions.  But I guess they know best.  But some ducks did launch themselves from the water as I was passing this morning.  There were three of them which struck me as an unusual number at this time of year.
