Rydal Water

We parked at Grasmere and did a 5 mile walk around Rydal Water...coming back along The Coffin Route.

The Coffin Route is a medieval corpse road that was used to transport dead bodies to their final resting place at St Oswald's Church in Grasmere. It is a beautiful walk that cuts through a wooded valley...you get splendid views of Rydal Water!

The weather was good as you can see from the blue sky in the blip.
