Lennebergwald

Instead of a lunch break, I met my friend Petra and her dog Emil for a walk on the other side of the Rhine today, in the pine forest Lennebergwald. The extra is Potentilla incana, a rare species of cinquefoil growing on the unusually sandy soil in that area.

It was good to meet Petra, whom I had not seen for months. While we walked, she got a phone call with the news that her 98-years-old mother is going to get her 1st Covid-19 vaccination shot next Wednesday. That tells you how "quickly" some states in Germany are protecting their elderly citizens against the pandemic...
