A Work in Progress
I have been out in the chill three times today and each time the eye watering has got less. The wind was minimal and therefore the wind chill was less.
Nevertheless, I felt I had to don so many layers it was like being incarcerated in a padded strait jacket. Not only that but also wearing a beanie hat, a mask and glasses which constantly steamed up when I went into a shop, the second outside foray for shopping became like an out of body experience and not at all
comfortable.
The police presence in the Meadows is very obvious today and whether it’s because of this or the fact that it’s too damn cold for the youth to enjoy gathering, is hard to know but all is quiet on the western front. If only the cops had thought to be so prominent last weekend we might not have had the mayhem we did.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the weather improves by the time I finish the second glove.
