Broch

After yesterday's excitement, today was a quieter day. A bit of reading, a bit of sorting out photos for a future blog post and just generally being lazy.

Went out later in the afternoon for a drive up to Torwood and a walk up to Tappoch Broch (pictured), sometimes known as Torwood Broch. This is believed to be the best-preserved of the lowland brochs (iron-age dwellings) which is quite remarkable given the number of visitors it gets.

Made my way from there down to the Blue Pool and then back to the car via Torwood Castle (see extras). Managed to avoid much of the chill wind that has been blowing most of the day.
