Another day, another hospital
I went for (I hope) the last test I need, this morning. It was at a hospital I hadn’t been to before. I thought it was beautiful - and I was all done before 9.15:)
The extra is a drawing of the hospital when it was opened in 1907 - of course before the NHS - it was built using a bequest from a local coalpit owner called Cossham. Bristol used to be a coal mining area. Although his activities probably caused a lot of health problems, it was good that he gave something back. The tower was the highest point in Bristol. Not sure whether it is now.
