Pileated Woodpecker

I had another glorious morning at Huntley Meadows.  The weather was warm enough for just a light jacket and the wildlife paparazzi were out in force. (see extra).  It was reported that the Merganser Ducklings had come out of the box on Saturday so everyone wanted a shot of the cuteness. (also in extra).

I took a trail that isn't taken by many of the photographers and once again I came across a pileated woodpecker who is my blip star for today.  In addition, there was an Osprey hunting, and a male Wood Duck posed for quite a while on a log and was so close, I almost had too much lens.  That never happens!
