Avenida Josep Tarradellas
Back blipping....
We got our bike tyres blown up this morning, and a leaking valve in one of mine repaired and my light fixed. We then had a wee practise on them in an internal patio close by to re-familiarise ourselves with the gears. Let's see how long it takes us to use them now! Having the bikes out of our patio pushed us to then clean the patio, chuck out a plastic chair that we'd kept 'just in case' or 'por si el case' as they say in Spanish. It had become an easy dumping ground for little gardening and cleaning things that should be put back in the cubby hole we have on the patio for that purpose (and which also houses the gas boiler). Not having the chair there gives a little extra space, making it easier to get the bikes in and out.
This tree-lined avenue is Josep Tarradellas and runs the length between Sants Station and Plaza Frances Macia and mid-way is just a few minutes walk from our house. When we first came to Barcelona in 1991, part of the avenue was waste ground and parking and we'd park our 2CV there.
