Easter Sunday

Cold! Thick coat back on for our local walk. We were going to call in Tesco.. but was closed. Forgot it was Easter  closing.  To be honest  I almost forgot it was Easter. 

For years and years we always went away at Easter. Up to a few years ago we used to go up  to Scotland for the Scottish Field Archery Champs. 2 days wandering through magnificent hillside woods in great company. We stayed at a 'faded grandeur' hotel for 3 nights with fellow Archers and it was a great mini holiday. The weather varied from year to year but it was always enjoyable. But the couple who organised everything split up and the Champs were cancelled. A great shame. 

Now with lockdown we couldnt have gone anywhere anyway and if wed been able to would have avoided going too far on Easter weekend because the Lakes get so busy!  

A walk by the dock at teatime and the fishermen were setting up their tents for staying over night. They may regret it. It's gone very very cold.
