Easter Feasting
We've been around the world in Zooms and livestreams today, celebrating Easter and all that means for us! In between various screen things, Danny set up an Easter egg hunt around the flat for the kids (see Asha's blip for her impressive haul!), and just as they'd found them all the doorbell went and it was James with another egg for them each! Asha set us up a mini hunt which was fun...and then our tradition of watching The Miracle Maker together - such a brilliant film telling the story of Jesus. We cooked a roast for us and some friends on the streets. Asha and I made them up bags of chocolate, and Nate was the very enthusiastic chocolate giver, with loud cries of 'happy easter *insert name*!' I did have a bit of a disaster when making the gravy - I used water that was too hot and managed to explode a flask full of gravy...gravy and glass spread quite impressively!!
Photographed are Davide and Craig, our last stop of dinner drop offs. Davide is from Venice and a chef (nerve wracking to cook for!) and Craig is from Manchester and ex army. Both lovely guys.
Danny went off to Marcial's new church whilst the kids and I watched SCBC and Nate chattered incessantly about his birthday tomorrow. Hope we've got enough steam for yet another celebration!!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) The hope today brings.
2) James and Rich's kindness - not only thinking of the kids...but yesterday James gave an old phone to a friend of ours who's been desperate for one, and they've stored Nate's big balloon for his birthday.
3) Knowing UK family were seeing family and friends today - Mom and Dad with Nathalie and Han and co with Anth and Trev.
