Today’s round of golf...

I am pretty sure that the great blue heron in the upper left corner is a juvenile from this year. He’s got fuzzies on top of his head instead of those beautifully elegant long feathers. Clearly the sandhill crane colt has been paying attention as the parent shows him how to forage… They are in just about exactly the same position as each other. I watched the ospreys hunting for quite a while but did not see any success. I’m not sure whether the saying about a bad day of fishing is true when without fish you starve.  And on the bottom we have Mr. and Mrs. double crested Cormorant. Good thing I remembered my camera along with my golf clubs today.
