Scenes from today’s nature walk...
Visited Lovers Key State Park this morning. The two shots in the bottom left are actually panes from the same wide angle shot from the trail across the water complete with mangroves. The gator to the right was swimming up the middle of the channel. They had a butterfly garden with a couple samples included in the collage. The central picture was a bloom of some sort on a tree of some sort - no idea what, but they were striking. Tortoises were a fairly common sight. They were hanging out at the entrances to boroughs alongside the trail. I noticed the trio of yellow jackets (?) building a hive on the underside of a palm leaf.
