Red Wattle Bird

Sometimes it pays to just sit and breathe and recharge the batteries. That was not today. Paladian and I are about to leave for a very stressful 5 days of work, shooting a professional contest and fitness Expo in Melbourne, running a DVD booth and driving 1000 miles there and back. It is the 13th year in a row we have done this event, since day one, back in 2001.

Been packing camera and mostly video equipment, DVD stock and printing forms, covers etc almost all day. However I slipped outside for 5 minutes of fresh air moments ago. Paladian's camera was closest to hand, (mine was packed) and blow me down, but this red wattle bird came for a drink at the birdbath.

The weather has been horrible, hot and humid today. The birds are having a hard time of it, and there is a constant procession to this small birdbath in our front garden.
