Wilsontown

My back issue from yesterday was really bad overnight. It took me an effort to get out of bed due to the spasms but once I got going (& the painkillers kicked in) it was a bit more manageable. Haven’t had a flare up like this for some time.

We are all off today for Easter hols so we took the short drive to Wilsontown.

Established in 1779 near Forth. Its story is one of great enterprise, innovation, family disputes, hard work - the story, in fact, of the early industrial era in Scotland.

We did a short walk with H around the first loop and was really interesting to read about the history in more detail. There is a much bigger walk which we’ll come back and do now we have our bearings.

The Blip is of the Wilsontown Inn. I’m sure this would have been a well used building!
