Sally Mair - Loving life

New Life in the Garden

Maundy Thursday today but I won't be in church this evening as C has his hospital appointment today. I dropped him off at 11.
Back home I finally got around to filing some of the many oodles of pieces of paper which come through our door. I also shredded lots of elderly bank statements which made some room for the new ones.
I went into the garden to empty the last potato sack and got a pretty good haul. We'll have freshly harvested home grown potatoes on Easter Sunday having also had them on Christmas Day.
I was pleased to see so many different flowers in the garden already. This shot has: Pasque flowers, several different daffodils, polyanthus, camellia, leucojum (giant snowdrop) and you can see that the peonies are doing well in the background too. Nadine, that is your dicentra in the foreground by the way, its coming long nicely. This afternoon I went to Ali's - we're trying to finish off the arrangements for next week's wedding. Such a shame it's not this weekend the weather next week is pretty horrible. It's amazing how much needs to be done even for such a small occasion. We had a good catch up in the garden and the sun was quite warm at times.
Back home, C called to say all was well and that he was ready to come home. Thankfully all is resolved and no treatment necessary.
We had a quiet evening, watched a little TV and relaxed.
Keep safe and well everyone, Good Friday tomorrow, time for hot cross buns.
