Highs and lows

I kept finding little signs of hope around York today, designed by kids for The Samaritans. I've posted two as Extras. Especially poignant as I watched the Roman Kemp documentary last night about male suicide.

Less hopeful was the sheer number of empty shop units in York today. Even more than last time I was there. Hard to imagine how the town centre will recover.

My son is having friendship issues. He doesn't feel he fits in anywhere. Heartbreaking. Luckily he talks to me about it - long may that continue.
