Busy, but Fun....and Cold!

It was 30F/-1C this morning....a good frost on the roofs and lawns. It seems late in the season for frost. It took quite a while to warm up, but eventually I managed to play a few holes of golf with a friend of mine which was lovely. But the frost delay had created quite a back up so it was very slow playing...eventually we gave up since we were waiting too long at every hole. But it was lovely to see her!

Several fascinating calls for the botanical garden, and a quick jaunt out to the garden to find a tiny flower for Tiny Tuesday! This sweetie as you may know is Ribes sanguineum and the cultivar is 'King Edward VII'. I'm not sure why it's named after King Edward, but I did find that it is apparently the first garden cultivar of the species and was developed in Europe.

Happy Tuesday!
