Shadow play
Today was busy!
I started off riddling soil and mixing it with compost and finally got around to planting some sweet pea and broad bean seeds. They are now on the kitchen window sill and hopefully will not reintroduce the little flies which have more or less gone now.
A popped in on her way back from Cramond and we enjoyed a garden cuppa, nice to catch up with her and have Marvin to visit too. Next I made a big pot of carrot and coriander soup, we had some for dinner and it was definitely a hit.
It was time for one of the bigger tasks, cleaning out the fish tank, it takes about an hour but it does look good when it's done - the fish haven't said but I'm sure they appreciate it.
I popped in to see K, J and the girls this afternoon, it's always nice to see them on their home ground, full of fun and pleased to see me. What more could I want, well a bit of sunshine would have been nice. I had my duvet coat, cashmere hat and fingerless gloves on and I needed all of them. What a change in temperature from last week.
We watched the penultimate episode of Unforgotten tonight, what a cliffhanger.... looking forward to the final episide next week.
My blip is the gate of a house nearby, it caught my eye and I particularly liked the clarity of the shadow of the thistle. Saying that, reminded me of the title of the Sean O'Casey play I studied for higher English back in the early '70s.
Keep safe and well everybody
