A Whole Lot of Dirt
That is what it is going to take to fill up the raised garden boxes. We have been composting since we moved here over 20 years ago. Looks like it is about to pay off. Our oldest grandson and his silver lab are spending the weekend with us. Perfect timing. Mancil and hubby spent many hours shoveling dirt into carts and off loading it into the garden boxes. Youngest grand Parker stopped by to help for a bit. My shoulder pain has spread to my neck so I iced it and did practically nothing all day. The guys are going to Confession and Mass and then pick up chicken and salad for dinner. I will watch Mass on my phone since it will be streamed. Our rich dirt is a case for “waste not, want not.” The black gold in the trailer is from grass clippings. If what we have isn’t enough soil, our neighbor is going to sell us some “guaranteed to produce” mushroom topsoil. Will provide progress blips throughout growing season. Thanks for the visit, notes and stars.
