Garden Clearance Find

After a day when it seemed to be hard "getting going", I finally headed out into the garden and started clearing up the the area the pile of old branches which have been accumulating down the side of the house.  The biggest contributor was the remains of a rowan tree brought down by one of the severe winds last year.

I've started to cut up and build a log pile from the branches, but not before capturing some of the bracket fungus which have colonised the wood first.  In particular, I liked the underside showing a lovely honeycombed texture.
