Lockdown anniversary

Last year I walked a different set of lanes as we were over in the cottage in East Meon where the landscape is so different even though it’s only 8 miles away.  I have seen no wild garlic around here which must be everywhere in the Meon valley by now.  But I did see a lot of violets last year and am noticing them here now but here’s the fascinating thing - around here they are all white!  What’s going on?  I have only seen one purple one so far.
