Sunset over new compost heaps

I spent the last ten years at the cottage piggy backing on the well managed compost heaps of our landlord and didn’t have the space for one in London so this is a new hobby!  I am reading up on it but the previous owner would have a fit at the somewhat ramshackle nature of the top of the garden.  They had a large pile of leaves and lawn mowings that have never rotted down so I am mixing them in with new garden clippings and putting the food waste in the big green bin.   The excitement!
