It's Pussy Willow Day

Ok, so it's not official, but Wildstar, cazzfoto and Kiteseeker (to name but three) all feature Pussy Willow catkins in their blips today.

Sadly, we had to remove a Pussy Willow tree and another tired Hawthorn from between the neighbouring properties this week, so I salvaged some of the branches for the kitchen. Now I'm looking at this photo, I can see why the worktop is getting dusted with pollen. But my favourite stage is when they are SO soft and fluffy, hence the Extra.

Better in large - the pollen looks like tiny Sugar Puffs!
