Compensations...

As I've got older I've become less and less keen on Winter. On this morning's walk to work however I was again struck by the thought that it's only when they have no leaves that we can really appreciate the shape of some trees. This particularly delicate silver birch is on the cusp of regaining its clothing but in the process we will lose sight of some of its beauty - until next Winter that is.
