Today is our 46th wedding anniversary. In recent years we have gone away, especially since out Ruby wedding in 2015.

Two years ago we were in Malta but by the Friday, our anniversary, we were both ill. 

Last year we should have been in the Parador on the quay in Cadiz - cancelled.

This year we were less ambitious and had hoped to go to Jersey - postponed.

So anniversary at home, no restaurants open but the new cake shop in the village does take away afternoon teas so maybe... closed on Mondays!

Time to give in but my lovely friend that I met up with on Friday 
brought us macaroons and lemon drizzle cakes so we headed off the M & S this morning and got some cream scones and yummy sandwiches to go with them to make our own (M & S) afternoon tea! We already had the fizz.

A similar day to the one in 1975, sunny and blowy.

Who knows what will happen next year! Cheers!
