Hill fort

Another lovely Spring day; no need for a coat! 

Joanna and I set off from Dunscore to walk over Springfieldhill. We took a wee detour when we saw a sign saying "To Hill Fort". This one is Iron Age (but may have been the site of a Roman camp). It has a series of defensive ramparts. It was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea and amazing views.
