Spring Morning

We had a frost overnight and sunshine for several hours first thing this morning. A beautiful start to the day.

Merlin wakes at 6am and this morning by 7am I thought I’d get up and give him some company in the kitchen (where he sleeps). He gets very excited when I first go down, rushing around the room and out into the garden. But, once he has had his breakfast, he settles down for a sleep.

So we had a lovely hour sitting together quietly. Him sleeping and myself writing down some thoughts, watching the birds in the garden and ordering our organic veg for the week. Such a good way to start the day.

We saw and felt many signs of spring on the dog walk this morning. The nearly continuous sound of the birds singing and calling is such a joy.
