Le soleil d'après-midi

Excuse the pretentiousness of the French title, but it sounded more descriptive that way, and as the sunshine was so beautiful today I wanted to celebrate it by describing just how lovely it was (though I am rubbish at French so this is probably grammatically incorrect!)

Even though it was still cold today it felt like spring was definitely on its way. The late afternoon sunshine was so soft and golden as it lit up a corner of the garden that it was asking to be photographed, and I had two obliging models! It was most welcome after our very grey February, more dull than I can remember any February ever being.
