Dark Day in the Mountains

.... where did they go? Lots of snow arriving higher up, just a little at our altitude. I often see this tree with woodpiles around it and wonder what it thinks.

A very stressful day with Preston needing a visit to the emergency vet. She thinks he might have had a processional caterpillar which left poisonous hairs in his foot which then spread to different parts of his body. He has a very sore ear, brow, two of his legs, as well as his paw which is infected. Poor baby, he has various shaved bits and has had antibiotic and cortisone injections and must be checked out by our regular vet tomorrow morning. It could be something else, but she is sure he has not been in a fight. I had forgotten how scary it is when pets are poorly!
