Windswept Vallon .....

.... on the way to the Col that drops into the Portes du Soleil. 4 skiers ahead gave scale to this hillside. They kept disappearing into a cloud of spindrift that sometimes stopped us in our tracks.  Just above the Col, with its view towards the Muveran range, were the most unusual frozen grass “tents”... in extra.

We are due some pretty bad weather for the next few days and getting out today was a bonus. That wind was supposed to bring the rain much sooner.
