Companions

Still feeling a little out of sorts this morning. Basically just like I had a virus. But the weather forecast was good so I thought a walk would be ok, and help to focus on something else rather than feeling unwell.

We walked around the Trentham Estate through Kings Wood and up to the monument and back again. It really did help, and the weather was just lovely.

I'd spotted this group of trees before, but today the light seemed to highlight the dead tree in the centre. I find it's difficult grouping as to me there doesn't seem enough spacing around each tree, and the background is a bit too close and messy for my liking. But I'm drawn to the dead tree every time we pass it.
